Recruiting new personnel is among the tasks of a community’s police services department, and an Omaha course may help to make the process easier.
The Omaha Public Safety Training center at 11616 Rainwood Road provides hands-on learning in a variety of areas, and it will be running its “Recruiting for Law Enforcement” workshop in mid-August. It will share best practices with the registered learners, and the registration fee is $395 for each attendee.
The topics that will be addressed in the class will be focused on helping the participants attract, hire, and retain qualified and effective personnel. The importance of making them feel welcome and wanted in their role will be stressed, and the learners will find out how they can create an environment that allows this to happen. They will be taught how this can counteract the competition that often exists between departments across the country when it comes to hiring.
Participating in continuing education activity helps individuals to keep abreast of the latest developments in their field. Promotional Pens, bound texts, certificates of completion, and handout are some of what a printing services company can supply for an event.
The course will begin on Monday, August 15th, and it will wrap up the following day. The email address for the agency contact person for the workshop is miranda.vaughan@cityofomaha.org.
