Afro Swag Media and Magazine released its first issue in Nebraska on December 24, 2019. However, the magazine never got a chance to celebrate the launch due to the global pandemic.
One year later, the magazine has decided to celebrate its launch and year of success with a single celebration.
According to its website, the mission of Afro Swag Media and Magazine is to:
“Provide credible, factual and unbiased information [and] offers profiles, listings, and events of African Diaspora professionals and businesses in the US.”
Print editions of the magazine are available free at various locations around Omaha.
Since its launch, the magazine has shared the stories of black entrepreneurs and innovators. Recently, the magazine profiled Dr Abi Adegboye, a Nigerian author and speaker who inspires youths and holds workshops to train the leaders of tomorrow.
Tickets for the event cost $35, and prices will go up after October 31. The event is organized by the Business Seals Consulting Firm, an Omaha company that helps entrepreneurs throughout the Midwest to turn their ideas into profitable businesses. Corporate Gifts are often a part of grand business and entrepreneurial events such as this.
The Afro Swag Magazine Official Release Cocktail Party is scheduled to take place in the evening of Sunday, December 27 at 7pm, but a location has yet to be determined.
