Omaha hotel scheduled for spring construction

The Aloft Hotel, a part of the Marriott hotel group, is expected built this spring. It is designed to attract business, tourists, and convention groups to West Omaha.

The hotel will have many amenities, such as keyless room entry, video walls, charging stations for electric cars, and ping pong tables in the lobby to promote customer involvement.

Anant Enterprises bought land three years ago and saw a need for an upscale hotel to serve the area. This hotel will have elements that go beyond just attracting the typical hotel guest, however, say representatives of Slate Architecture working on the design.

It will have a large banquet room that holds 300 people, a sports bar, and an outdoor patio. The hotel will span three acres.

Their vision is to have a restaurant in the hotel that caters to their patrons and all of Omaha. With many local offices in the area, it is likely business customers will make appearances.

The fifth floor of the Aloft will have private condos that will be occupied by the hotel owners.

Deepak Gangahar, whose company designs hotels in the downtown area, says if demand is there it will build condos on the remaining property.

Construction will begin this spring on the hotel located on 215 S. 181 St.

Omaha has many printing services that can assist developers, hotels, restaurants, businesses, associations, and retail shops with brochure printing.
