As another summer heads towards fall, an Omaha garden will be welcoming walkers for a special visit to its beds.
Lauritzen Gardens/Kenefick Park is set to be visited by a group of residents interested in learning more about the environment. Its listing pointed out that its wide variety of habitat plantings and plant species attract lots of butterflies, and the participants will be able to learn more about these pretty fliers.
The participants will learn more about the over 50 species of butterfly that call the venue home, and they will discover how the types found may vary throughout the season. The docent will share tips for attracting them to their own garden and keep them coming back. Both members and non-members are welcome to participate with tickets starting at $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
Learning about nature can be as easy as signing up for a local butterfly or other walk. A flyer printing company can help to build the buzz in the community about almost any upcoming activity.
This chance to pay a visit to butterflies in their natural habitat is scheduled for August 19. It will head out at 10:00 am, and advance registration is mandatory. The runtime for the session is one and half hours, and sturdy walking shoes are recommended.
