Omaha gardens to offer taste of Japan

Omaha shares a close connection with its first sister city, and the annual Japanese Ambience Festival will honor this relationship.

The Japanese city of Shizuoka is a sister city to Omaha, and the festival will be a celebration of Japanese culture, music, and food. It will also mark the anniversary of the gift of the Sunpu Castle Gate, which was presented to the garden some years ago.

The gathering, which will run throughout its scheduled weekend, will offer a long list of activities and demonstrations. The crowd can view calligraphy, chopstick and origami demos, food tastings, and live performances, including traditional drumming and dancing. The monies raised will be utilized by Lauritzen Gardens to help expand and improve its Japanese garden.

A themed event may be a fun experience for everyone who takes part, and Posters, Banners, and other decor can all help to build the desired atmosphere. A banner printing company can supply a wide range of services, ranging from graphic design work to crafting and installing custom vehicle wraps.

The Japanese Ambience Festival will be welcoming the public at Lauritzen Gardens on Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6. It is free with paid admission to the gardens, and members may also enter at no charge. Both days will be open from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
