Terrariums are a closed loop ecosystem that kids often find fascinating, and an Omaha class will teach them how to prepare one to take home for themselves.
Nodest Home Plants has put out a call for kids in the area to be join its terrarium building workshop. This will be a hands-on project, and is intended for youngsters from the ages of 3 to 7. Parents must attend with their child, but they do not need to purchase a separate ticket.
The kids in the class will each craft their own terrarium using the materials supplied. There will be an assortment of insects and other creatures to include, which tend to thrive in the conditions these plantings provide.
Children can ask questions and learn how to care for their covered garden, and siblings may participate on a joint project together.
A hands-on class can be a fun way to introduce little ones to some of the basics of the STEM subjects, and it can encourage them to keep on learning as they grow. Handouts for a session can be prepared by area printing services.
This introduction to the world of gardening will be on offer on November 26th, starting at 10:00 am, and has a duration of an hour. Nodest House Plants can be found at 2452 Harney Street in Omaha.
