The Scream in the Dark film festival is taking place over two days in Omaha early next month.
The first of what is expected to be an annual festival dedicated to the genres of horror, science fiction, fantasy, and thrillers, the event is to feature celebrity guest appearances from Robert Mukes and Lesleh Donaldson.
Several films will be viewed each day. Some of the titles at this year's festival include Jack Attack, Haunter Maze (featuring several local actors and directed by Susan Engel), and Circus of the Dead.
In addition to the films, food will be available for purchase. Vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of film-related merchandise, such as comics, Books, photographs, DVDs, and clothing.

The Scream in the Dark film festival will be held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Theater from October 4 to 5, with screenings beginning at 11:00 am each day.
