Craft Beer Bus Tour pouring into Omaha
Omaha Beer Week will once again bring to a head Omaha's independent breweries and craft brew culture.
The sudsy celebration began in Omaha in 2012. On tap this year is another variety-pack of brew-pubs, breweries, bars and restaurants featuring their own craft beers.
Also flowing once again in 2020 is the Craft Beer Bus Tour. Buses safely transport beer drinkers to and from participating locations. The 2020 edition features a mobile phone app that allows riders to track the whereabouts of the buses in real time.
The buses stop at these locations:
• Beertopia, 3570 Farnam St.
• Jake's Cigars & Spirits, 6206 Maple St.
• Liquid Sunshine Taproom, 12750 Westport Parkway, La Vista
• Thunderhead Taproom, 13304 W Center Rd.
• Juke's Ale Works, 20560 Elkhorn Dr., Elkhorn
Buses will be traveling continuously between the locations on the day of the tour at 15 to 30 minute intervals. The bus will stop for 5 minutes at each location to drop off and pick up passengers. Keep in mind the buses do not transport passengers to their homes. Riders are reminded to plan their beer tours accordingly, and use other forms of transportation to get themselves home safely.
Beer is not allowed on the buses. Attendees are reminded that ID will be required at all locations, and all ticket holders must be at least 21 years of age.
Festivals such as this one can use local print shops to create posted bus schedules, and vendors can use professional printing services to create special festival menus.
The 2020 Craft Beer Bus Tour is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 from noon to 10:00 pm.
