The Omaha Turkey Trot 5K is set to take place this November.
The event will offer runners a festive and charitable way to kick off their Thanksgiving morning. It will feature post-race treats from LaMar’s Donuts and the choice of premium event gear, either a hoodie or a long-sleeved shirt.
Until October 16th participants can register for the timed or untimed 5K for $39.99. Children aged 11 and under can join the 5K Kid’s Division Fun Run for $12.99. This registration includes an untimed race bib and a celebratory donut at the end line. Additional items are available for purchase during registration. Children 8 and under can partake in a 100-meter Kid’s Dash for free.
For those unable to attend in person, there is also a virtual 5K option priced at $34.99. This will allow runners to participate from anywhere.
The proceeds from the event will benefit Make-A-Wish Nebraska, an organization that grants life-changing experiences to children with critical illnesses. Funds raised will help the charity continue its mission of granting 110 to 115 wishes annually throughout the state. The in-person race will begin at 9 am preceded by the Kids Dash at 8:45 am. The start and finish location will be at Charles Schwab Field1200 Mike Fahey St. Omaha, Nebraska.
