Raleigh residents to get a bounce

Locals who want to give themselves a lift will be able to do so, when Launching Pad Trampoline Park comes to town later this year.

It was recently revealed that the company is planning to open its Raleigh facility in October of this year. Kevin and Kristie Sisson, who own Launching Pad, had first planned to build their own building in East Raleigh. The planned facility would have comprised 40,000 square feet, but would not have opened until early 2015.

Now, the Sissons have opted to take over the old Linens 'n Things building, located in Northwest Raleigh. The big-box store has been sitting vacant since the home goods chain closed all its locations throughout the country in 2008. Taking over the existing building rather than constructing a site from scratch means Launching Pad can open this year.

The building has a total of 33,600 square feet of space, of which 15,000 will be devoted to the trampoline park. In addition to the trampolines, Launching Pad will feature a basketball court, arcade, foam pit, dodgeball courts, a mezzanine on which people can watch the fun, and a snack bar.

The Sissons could work with a flyer printing company to create handouts for distribution near the location on and just before the opening. They might include a coupon to create increased interest.
