Raleigh creates festive fun for kids

A late March event is giving young members of the Raleigh community a chance to enjoy a celebration for an approaching holiday.

Meet the Bunny is an event which was planned by the city’s Parks and Recreation department. This was done as a way to mark Easter, a holiday that takes place the following month. As a part of the event, children will be able to get pictures with the special bunny mascot. This is a common element of events that take place in the lead up to Easter, as it is a way that families can get a keepsake to remember the season.

In addition to the photo op, guests can pick up an egg shaped plushie to take home. Prizes will also be available to win through some games. Some craft projects will be set up for those looking for a creative, spring themed activity.

The event is open to children between the ages of zero and six. Since the organizer needs to have numbers to gauge how many of certain items they have to get, pre-registering will be a requirement. Doing so is possible through a link on the city’s website, which will take users to RecLink.

There is no cost to attend the event. The venue is Abbotts Creek Park. Many similar experiences and city led activities will use flyer printing as a promotion technique. The festivities will take place between 10:00am and 11:30am. The scheduled date for the Raleigh event is March 24th.
