Raleigh gets ready to rock

Three rock outfits are coming to Raleigh to shake things up.

Barenaked Ladies, Toad the Wet Sprocket and the Gin Blossoms are bringing their tour to Raleigh. Ed Robertson and Steven Page formed the Barenaked Ladies in Canada in the 1980s as a duo, later expanding to five members. They released their EP “The Yellow Tape, which gained quadruple platinum status, in 1991. The group enjoys touring, and continues to build their fan base through humor, as well as rock and pop stylings.

“Best. Band. Ever.”

The year 1992 marks the breakthrough of the Gin Blossoms, since that is when they released “New Miserable Experience.” The group formed in Tempe, Arizona, in 1987, and “New Miserable Experience” not only went quadruple platinum, a single from it, “Hey Jealousy” went gold.

Toad the Wet Sprocket dates all the way back to Santa Barbara, California, in 1986, when a group of high-school buddies formed the group. Although they released two albums, mainstream success eluded them until they released “Fear” in 1991. The album went all the way to platinum, and two hit singles came from it.

The concert is scheduled for Raleigh's Red Hat Amphitheater on July 18, starting at 7.00 pm. Poster printing can produce attractive advertisements for such events.
