The name refers to Jimmy Buffett's fans, many of whom follow him from place to place, enjoying his easy style and hit songs, including “Come Monday,” “Changes in Latitude,” and, of course, “Margaritaville,” his best-known tune.
He teamed up with Alan Jackson for a duet on “It's Five O'Clock Somewhere,” which earned him an award from the Academy of Country Music in 2003. He has released over 30 albums, of eight have earned Gold status, while nine have gone Platinum or Multi-Platinum.
Buffett is also known for his desire to help others; in 2017, he, along with Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith, played a concert to benefit the victims of Hurricane Irma, which had devastated Florida. Buffett discovered his laid-back, tropical island style in Key West, and still has a home in Florida. He also has a large restaurant chain and interests in ball clubs, hotels, and other properties.
A review of Jimmy Buffett and his band said:
“Loved the concert - he played for over 2 hours! Hit every major song and lot I didn't recognize but now will listen to. Amazing talent!!”
Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer Band will appear at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, on April 18 at 8:00 pm. Brochure printing can provide attractive programs for events like this.
