Underground music festival to come back for 11th run

Raleigh will host the Hopscotch Music Festival early next month. The event has been described as one of the leading music festivals for underground and experimental music in America.

Created in 2010, Hopscotch has been held annually in Raleigh. Though a nationally recognized festival, Hopscotch manages to draw in a lot of local talent. With about 25% of its performers hailing from North Carolina, the festival allows local artists a chance to reach a national crowd. For events like these, organizers usually provide a list of performers with the help of flyer printing.

Guests attending the festival can expect a wide range of genres performed. There will be something for all listeners, with EDM, hip-hop, folk, rock, and much more all present at the festival. Performances will be given at two separate stages, with one stage being Raleigh’s City Plaza and the other being Moore Square.

To ensure that the event is safe for all participants, organizers have adopted an outdoor format for this year’s performances. Venue capacity will also be kept at 75% to allow for greater social distancing.

Hopscotch will happen between September 9th and 11th. Both venue locations are downtown, with the City Plaza at 400 Fayetteville Street and Moore Square at 226 East Martin Street. Tickets to the festival range from $35 to $225.
