Raleigh has never been any stranger to unusual events, and an upcoming tour is going to show people the most interesting ones and the stories behind them.
Patrons will be taken to the sites of Raleigh’s most intriguing true crime stories, along with exploring other strange goings-on that have happened in the city.
The True Crime and Curious Tales Tour last for about one and a half hours depending on the group’s size and how quickly they can walk. No stops will be made for restrooms or food and drink, so patrons are advised to be prepared. The content of the tour can be a little gory, which means that children younger than 16 years old are not advised to take part. Flyer printing is a good way to promote walking tours.
The tour is on a pay-what-you-want basis, so patrons who enjoy the tour can compensate the tour guides if they wish. Most adults give $20 but this is only a suggested donation. Although payment is optional, patrons are required to register for a spot on the tour in advance to ensure that there is enough space.
The tour starts at the steps of the State Archives on 109 E. Jones St on Saturday, May 14, and is hosted by Raleigh Walking tours, LLC. The walk starts at 2:00 pm.
