Raleigh workshop introduces air plants

Cousins to Spanish moss and pineapples, air plants are known for their ease of care, and they will be the stars on the show during a planting activity that will help those who take part add an extra touch of green to their home.

Urban Pothos Houseplant Shop in Raleigh has organized an activity that will introduce air plants. These plants tend to have simple care requirements, and as they don’t need soil, they can be grown in many types of containers.

The participants will each make their own air plant dish garden, and they will follow a minimalist, modern design. All of the materials, including planting dishes, will be provided, and there will also be accents available so everyone can create their own unique look. The facilitator will provide planting instructions and tips, and each garden will have two plants. Everyone is asked to arrive a few minutes early.

A planting class gives the public an opportunity to meet others who also enjoy home horticulture while learning some new techniques. Providing the attendees with tips sheets can help new “plant parents” hit the ground running when it comes to looking after their new green friends, and they can be crafted by Stationery printers.

Urban Pothos Houseplant shop has scheduled its in-person introduction to air plant gardening for July 20th. It will be held during the evening, and the registration fee is $36.30.
