State Fair to return after a years hiatus

North Carolina’s State Fair is set to come back after being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19. It will take place next month over 11 days.

The first state fair was held in 1853 and has been a North Carolina staple since then. Set up to showcase the agribusiness, agriculture, and arts and crafts heritage of the state, it attracts around a million guests every year.

With this year’s fair, organizers want to make up for lost time by making it bigger and better than before. Visitors can expect rides, games, music, and shows. At the same time, new attractions are also being planned. Once the fairgrounds open up, there will be new food options, vendors, and rides.

Besides activities for visitors, the fair will have competitions for exhibitors. There will be several different contests available, with categories for best horses and livestock. For competitions like these, winners are usually awarded prizes, which are often made with the help of Print shops.

The NC State Fair will take place between October 14 and 24. The fair will happen at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. Tickets for general admission are $10 for advance registration and $13 at the gate. For details on ticket pricing, the fair’s official website provides more information. Anyone with more questions can call the organizers at 919-821-7400.
