Local businesses in Raleigh will be joining in with the hunt for Waldo. The elusive cartoon character is once again in hiding, and Raleigh residents can help find him.
The event, which is free, is aimed at families, who are encouraged to look for the Waldo character in the form of small cardboard cut outs that will be hidden in the 24 stores throughout Raleigh. The hunt will run through the end of July.
Participants can play by picking up a passport called ‘Find Waldo Local in Raleigh’. The passports, which can be found at Quail Ridge Books & Music, list all the stores and sites participating in the fun.
Participants are encouraged to go to the local shops, find Waldo, and have the store stamp their passport. The first 100 people who find Waldo and get their passports stamped may then return to Quail Ridge, where the will get a sticker and a discount on a Waldo book.
A grand-prize drawing is also scheduled. Prizes include a set of Waldo Books, and various Gift Certificates. A wrap party for the Waldo month is set for August 1, at 2 pm, at Quail Ridge.
Quail Ridge management could work with a banner printing company to create a colorful “WALDO” banner to hang over the store entrance until the contest ends.Get a Free Quote for Gift Certificates Get a Free Quote for Books
