MA Allen, an interior design company, has moved into new offices on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh.
The firm, which has worked for such clients as Deli and Neomonde Bakery, has taken over a historic building, located at 1020 Glenwood Avenue, after remodeling the space over a period of several months.
The renovation created office spaces, a showroom to be used to display building materials, storage space, and an area to be used to house accents critical to interior design, such as fabric swatches and concept Catalogs.
The firm moved from 701 Pershing Road, also in Raleigh, to its new site. The building, which is in one of Raleigh's oldest neighborhoods, dates from 1923. MA Allen, the owner of the firm that bears her name, bought the place for $350,000, grabbing it after it had been for sale for two days.
Back in September, Allen said she plans to go through the résumés she has received as soon as the move is complete, and will be hiring interns and designers very soon.
Allen will no doubt need to update many of her office Forms.
