Multi-talented performer to play Raleigh

A singer-songwriter, actor, and comedian known for his dark humor will appear in Raleigh.

Franco Escamilla, who was born in Cuautla in the Mexican state of Morelos, is known as “El Amo del Sarcasmo,” which translates as “The Master of Sarcasm.” He studied at the Monterrey College of Music and Dance before starting his work as a comedian. He created a YouTube channel, where he hosts a program called “The Devil Squad,” and began to build a following. He began to host “El Show de Franco Escamilla,” his comedy talk show, in 2016. It was broadcast on Estrella TV, a Spanish-language station based in the United States.

Escamilla released his first album, “Fe,” in June, 2017. The album, which was mostly acoustic, dropped the same month his special “Franco Escamilla: El Comediante del Sombrero,” debuted on Comedy Central. This led him to undertake a tour of the United States. In fact, he has toured widely, making stops in Hong Kong, Australia, Dubai, Israel, Mexico, Argentina, Japan, and many more nations.

A review of an Escamilla performance describes him as “one of the best comedians out there.”

Escamilla will appear at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh on March 4, 2021, at 8:30 pm. Poster printing can be used to create colorful advertising for events like this.
