Holiday shopping fest to arrive in Raleigh

The MAKRS Society will host its MAKRS Holiday Fest next month. The event will give Raleigh residents a chance to shop for the holidays.

The organization connects local businesses with their communities. Founded by Max Rivera in 2020, it now operates in five locations, including the North Carolina cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Charlotte.

The upcoming Holiday Fest is one of many events MAKRS hosts every year. There will be over 150 vendors from the local area selling their goods. There will also be food trucks, drinks, live music, and several fun activities. Some of these activities include creative workshops, pictures with Santa Claus, a selfie studio, and light shows. At events like these, banner printing is often used to help guide guests to different vendors and activities.

The event will also follow COVID-19 precautions to maintain the health and safety of everyone attending. The Holiday Fest will happen outside, so masks are not mandatory, but organizers ask that guests maintain social distancing and wash or sanitize their hands often while at the event. Also, anyone feeling symptoms of COVID-19 is asked to stay home.

This upcoming event will take place on December 11 between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. It will happen at the Raleigh City Plaza on 400 Fayetteville Street. Anyone interested in attending can RSVP online.
