Guidelines released for upcoming community market

With preparations underway for March’s Ruby Deluxe Community Market, organizers have issued some comprehensive guidelines for any businesses or artists looking to set themselves up as vendors.

Proactive self-promotion is encouraged, particularly among artists, who are seen as influential in attracting a diverse crowd. The use of accessible tools like Canva for crafting and sharing promotional materials on Instagram is suggested, with participants invited to tag organizers for heightened visibility. Logo Design is often an important part of marketing efforts like this.

While an outdoor setup is preferred, organizers assure participants of available indoor space in the event of unfavorable weather. Canopies are recommended, and participants may be asked to share canopy space. Attendees are also advised to bring their own chairs for seating convenience.

Vendor fees are outlined at $25 for the first table, with an additional charge of $20 for each subsequent table. On-site ticket verification will be stringent, with participants urged to make sure they reserve the right number of tables. Any last-minute additions on the event day will incur an additional charge of $5.

The market will be held on Saturday, March 16 at Ruby Deluxe in Raleigh. Vendors will start setting up at midday and the market officially opens from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The bar will be open with staff on hand to support vendors, so they are asked to consider tipping them.
