Tennis and pickleball tournament brings competition to Huntersville

Tennis and pickleball players in Huntersville will want to make note in their Calendars, as an opportunity to play and raise money for a good cause is coming to town.

The 9th Annual Friday Memorial Tennis and Pickleball Tournament is set to accept registered players wanting to put their skills on display next month. The competition, which the Friday Memorial Foundation is organizing, will raise money to honor the memory of Mark and Isaac Friday.

The non-profit organization focuses on raising money to provide scholarships to local students seeking scholarships for college to play tennis at a competitive level. The foundation also focuses on raising awareness of suicide prevention in the community. The funds raised by registered players will support both causes. Banner printing is a colorful and welcoming way to greet players and spectators at such events.

Players are welcome to register solo or with a partner. The tournament director will pair individuals without a partner to create competitive games. All players will receive a t-shirt to commemorate playing in the tournament, and they will need to provide a shirt size upon submitting their information.

Prosperity Athletic Club will host the pickleball and tennis tournaments on Saturday, December 7th, with registration starting at 9:00 AM and the final matches ending around 3:00 PM. Registration costs $50 per player and can be paid for online.
