Scottish festival brings highland games to Huntersville

Huntersville residents who wish to indulge in Scottish culture and traditions will have a unique opportunity next month, as a festival will bring a series of traditional competitions.

The 2026 Loch Norman Highland Games and Scottish Festival is being organized with the goal of attracting a sizable crowd, and area residents are invited to join the fun for a memorable experience. This year will be the 32nd year of the annual tradition, with the festival set to be held across a two-day weekend.

Guests will get to hear traditional Scottish songs on traditional instruments, while professional dancers show off their moves for an immersive experience. The athletic competitions are expected to be a highlight of the weekend’s events. Other aspects will include a market filled with Celtic vendors, historical reenactments, and educational segments on the Scots. Banner printing is a colorful way to welcome visitors to such events while making a positive impression.

Scottish food trucks will be on-hand to provide attendees with access to snacks and traditional dishes. Parents with children can also enjoy the festival, as organizers will provide a children’s area with interactive activities for young ones.

The festival will be held on historic Rural Hill in Huntersville. It has been announced to begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, April 18th. Interested parties will be able to purchase tickets online in the coming days.
