Parents with children who are interested in playing baseball this spring and summer will have an opportunity to help them sharpen their skills, as a skills clinic is coming to Huntersville.
The Little League Skills Day will be welcoming youth athletes from the Huntersville area in a few weeks, allowing baseball and softball players to learn new skills and receive evaluations. The event is open to players across all skill levels and divisions, except for tee ball. The evaluations will be used to promote balanced and fair teams across each division.
Players registered for the Skills Day should bring a globe, bat, and batting helmet, and should wear cleats. It is also discouraged for players to share equipment, and parents are responsible for disinfecting any shared sporting equipment. Banner printing can promote such events and encourage more families in the area to sign up for such events.
In addition to showing and learning new skills, athletes will go through jersey fittings to ensure each athlete has the appropriate jersey size for their team. Parents will need to check the schedule to find the appropriate time for athlete check-ins and evaluation.
The Skills Day will be held at the Huntersville Athletic Park on Saturday, February 21st. Check-ins are set for 8:30 AM, and the camp will end at 5:00 PM. Parents can register their children online.
