Huntersville is preparing to host a Scottish cultural festival next month, and area residents and individuals with Scottish heritage are encouraged to register and attend.
The 2025 Loch Norman Highland Games and Scottish Festival has an official start date and is preparing to welcome interested parties who want to explore new foods, music, dancing, and games. This year’s Highland Games will be the 31st annual celebration. Historic Rural Hill, a non-profit organization located in Huntersville, is organizing the festival.
Performers at the festival will dance to classic Scottish Highland tunes played by local artists on authentic instruments to add to the atmosphere. Other interested parties will be allowed to enroll in athletic competitions to determine who has the most strength. Food will be provided by Scottish food trucks, while Celtic artisans and vendors will be on hand to display their wares. The Highland Games are famous for their inclusivity and creating a feeling of community among visitors. There will be activities for attendees of all ages, with a children’s area suitable for the event’s youth.
Historic Rural Hill in Huntersvile will host the Highland Games and Festival on the weekend of April 12th and 13th. The gates open at 8:00 AM, and tickets are $17.26 online.
