Scottish cultural event brings Huntersville residents together

Huntersville residents of Scottish descent will want to leave open space in the schedule next month, as a unique cultural event is set to begin.

The Return to Lallybroch event is offering Scottish-descended residents and Outlander fanatics an opportunity to come together and celebrate Highland culture and traditions. The event aims to bring registered guests on a journey through time, with the festival at the Loch Norman Standing Stones.

Attendees will enjoy a setting that allows them to become immersed in the magic of the Highlands without the need to travel through the stones. Guests will experience traditional music and authentic Scottish cuisine.

Workshops and learning experiences will also be available at the festival. Workshops include learning to create Scottish Highland attire and tasting different types of Scotch whisky. Interested parties must register for the workshops in advance. Flyer printing is a cost-effective and efficient way to build awareness of such events in the community.

Vendors will also be at the event, offering handmade wares and clothing. The event is suitable for attendees of all ages, though adult supervision is recommended for children.

The Historic Rural Hill will host the cultural event on Saturday, August 17, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. General admission tickets cost $55 per person, and children 17 and under enter for free. Ticket purchases can be facilitated online.
