Winter activity comes to High Point

A creative event taking place next month is offering two editions for the community, making it an inclusive way to try a fun and seasonal experience.

Let’s Craft! 2024 Leftovers is an activity from the Little Red Schoolhouse at the High Point Museum. The crafting experience is available to people of any age. This makes the event a good choice for families looking for something everyone can do together.

Participants will get to make one out of a pair of objects. These include a monster with long fur made out of colorful yarn, and a model of a hot chocolate beverage made from paper. These are crafts initially done in 2024, but they are returning once more in the new year.

In addition to the finished craft, attendees are welcome to grab some delicious mix to make their own hot cocoa once they get back home.

There are two sessions of the experience on January 25th. The first one is labeled as “sensory friendly.” This means the amount of people allowed is limited to help make the room calmer, and the lights will be dimmer. This edition will run between 10:00am and 12:00pm. A regular run is booked for 12:00pm to 2:00pm.

Attending is free, and guests can drop by at any point within the time frame of the session they wish to go to. Many events at places like museums and community centers will use flyer printing as a promotion technique. Information about the activity and the venue can be found in their AllEvents listing and the city website for High Point.
