An early May event is giving a platform to rising talent. High Point residents are welcome to visit the unique experience.
The Spring Pottery Festival is an event from the Art Alliance of Greensboro. The festival features adult students who are learning pottery. Some have prior experience with art, while some are newer to the field. There will be more than 20 artists selling their work.
A portion of the sales will go back to Art Alliance to ensure their programs can keep going. The event is a new spin on the annual sale students participate in.
There will be both functional and decorative pieces available for guests to choose from.
In addition to the market, there will be raffles for some prizes, a few giveaways, tours of the studios the artists work in, and live demos of pottery making processes and techniques. Guests can enjoy close up interactions with the artists.
Attending the event is free. The festival will be taking place on the south lawn of LeBauer Park. The park is located in Greensboro, which is a short trip from High Point. Many vendors at markets like this will get some Business Cards made so their information can be easily given out to attendees. The festival will be running from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The date for the event is May 2nd.
