The Arts Revolution is happening in a month’s time in Greensboro, presented by the North Carolina Entrepreneurship Center.
There are two separate parts of this festival, the first of which is a series of workshops, breakout sessions, and small group conversations for those in the arts. Participants can choose from four tracks: marketing, networking, nuts and bolts, and miscellaneous. Some of the topics covered will be intellectual property, artistic partnerships, and how to hone a sales pitch. Fees are $75 for the day or $35 for students.
Part two of the festival is Artapalooza which is open to the general public. It is set to feature visual arts displays, dance and musical performances, and a cooking demonstration. Some of the performers already confirmed are Arts Evangelica, Dance Now, Cry Later, and Love and Valor. There will also be ice sculpture demonstrations and 30 local art vendors. Food trucks will be on hand and visitors can participate in wine and beer tastings.
The workshops should help Greensboro artists understand more about getting the attention of the public, and possibly discover how to look for companies to provide them with marketing services.
The Arts Revolution will take place at Revolution Mill on April 2 from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm. For more information about this festival, contact the North Carolina Entrepreneurship Center at 336-256-8649.
