In collaboration with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), ZooMontana has developed sensory guides that are strategically placed throughout selected outdoor and indoor areas of the zoo.
ZooMontana has emphasized that the newly implemented 1-5 rating system will assist parents and caregivers in planning their visit based on heightened sensory sensitivities. By utilizing this system, individuals can identify specific areas of the zoo to avoid if a particular sense is heightened, allowing for a more tailored and comfortable experience. Printing services could be used to share details about such programs.
Executive Director of ZooMontana, Jeff Ewelt, said in a statement:

ZooMontana now offers sensory Bags that can be borrowed by guests. These bags are equipped with ear protection, sunglasses, and fidget toys, providing valuable assistance to individuals with sensory-related issues. The sensory bags are available free of charge during the duration of a guest's visit; however, they are to be returned before leaving the zoo.
