For years, Billings has served as Montana's primary medical hub. The community will experience further expansion with the official commencement of lectures at Rocky Vista University Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Excitement built this month as the public had the opportunity to explore the brand-new campus, providing an early glimpse into the state-of-the-art facilities.

The school’s founding dean and vice president, Dr. David Park, commented:

“The purpose of today’s event is to showcase our amazing new medical school building to the public. There’s been a lot of people locally who have been driving by through this construction process for over a year with a lot of curiosity.”

The July 15 open day tour served as an occasion for individuals to visit the campus and have an up-close view of its interior. It also presented an opportunity for the community to engage with the school's staff, who play a vital role in delivering the education that the medical students will receive at this institution. This year, the school will begin with an incoming class of 80 students. Next year, the class size will increase to 120, and by the third year, it will reach a maximum capacity of 160 students each year for each class. As the student body expands, the staff and faculty will expand as well. Eventually, Dr. Park anticipates having up to 120 part-time and full-time staff members working in the building.
