The Weekend Wonders Family Program is an outdoor family-friendly event that will be led by local teachers of yoga, history, and more.
The event leaders are all experts in their fields and the activities are suitable for people of all ages. Every event will feature an outdoor adventure, nature theme, and practical learning experience curated by local experts in exciting fields such as native plants and hiking. This is a great opportunity for people to get some fresh air with their families and friends while learning new things.
The theme for October’s event is a fishing experience led by Chrissy Webb from Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. Other themes from September events include Fall Equinox, canoeing, and the change of the seasons. Flyer printing can be used to share information about specific events.
The theme for November’s event will be Bird Stroll. Patrons will be taken on an early morning stroll by the river where they will be taught new things about birds, such as how to identify bird calls and how to identify different species using visual cues. Guests are requested to bring their own gear, however binoculars and guidebooks can be checked out from the organizers.
The Weekend Wonders Family Program, organized by the Montana Audubon Center in Billings, will be having an event on November 12th from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. Attendance is free for all ages, although patrons are encouraged to make donations.
