The Montana chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is hosting a conference that will bring together big players in the field of public relations.
More than 10 speakers have been invited to make presentations. Their specialties include community relations, digital marketing, leadership, and gaining an audience’s trust. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with their peers in a fun environment. Poster printing can be used to make events more engaging.
Sam Boerboom is one of the keynote speakers. He works as an Associate Professor and Chair at MSU Billings, and his talk is about building trust with fragmented audiences. He will be talking about how businesses are struggling to regain the same level of trust among consumers as they had before the pandemic. The new research he will present outlines ways for organizations to tailor their messages in a manner that restores credibility.
The other keynote speaker is Dan Farkas who is a Strategic Communication Lecturer at Ohio State University. His talk will be on how human storytelling should be what drives strategic communication. Digital meetings and stay-at-home orders have made that connection weaker, and Farkas feels that this is creating challenges for agencies.
The conference will be happening at the Northern Hotel in Billings from October 2 until October 4. Ticket prices range from $199 to $349 and airport transfer shuttles from Billings Logan International Airport will be available.
