Billings hosts Hall of Fame ceremony

The Montana Football Hall of Fame is holding induction ceremony banquet in Billings and a limited number of tickets are left.

There are around 48 tickets left for the event, according to Rick Halmes of Belt, who serves alongside Tom Oberweiser of Billings as co-chair of the MFHF. The entry fee is $100. Additionally, there are a few table variants that may be bought. Costing $800, the tables can accommodate eight people.

Former Montana Grizzlies players Terry Falcon, Lex Hilliard, and Kroy Biermann, as well as Joey Thomas who was a Montana State Bobcat, and Pat Ogrin formerly of the Wyoming Cowboys, are the five players who will be honored in the Players category. Bob Schmitz, a Montana State athlete, will also be inducted under the Legacy category for players who have passed away. Additionally, Carroll College graduate Tom McMahon and Ray Biggs, a retired Montana State lineman are being honored into the Support category.

Bill Sprinkle of Helena will also receive a special award in recognition of his efforts for the National Football Foundation Montana branch to provide scholarships to athletes attending Montana high schools and universities. Corporate Gifts and sponsorships are common at such events.

The induction ceremony banquet for The Montana Football Hall of Fame will take place at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center on Saturday, June 28th. Admittance will begin at 5 p.m., and the ceremony is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
