The nonprofit organization Fraser will be organizing a festival in May at the Mall of America in Bloomington.
The Fraser Festival for Autism is an event created to support Minnesotans with Autism and spread acceptance and awareness of the condition. The activity was originally The Fraser Walk for Autism, though the organization refreshed the festival to create a safer experience for guests. The family-friendly and sensory-friendly event will feature therapy animals, food, and giveaways. There will be a drive-thru parade and trained volunteers to help those with sensory sensitivities.
Fraser is a group formed in 1935 with the purpose of providing education, employment services, housing, and healthcare to people who have special needs. The organization offers services such as extended day child care, in-home support, and neuropsychology evaluations. Past events hosted by Fraser include career fairs, virtual workshops, and business networking luncheons. Nonprofit groups like Fraser can market their activities with poster printing.
The festival will be held on Saturday, May 1st from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Those interested in attending the event must sign up online for a specific timeslot. All funds raised during the festival will help Fraser sustain and grow its programs. The organization’s goal is to earn $135,000 for its cause. People can donate to Fraser on the group’s fundraising page. Over $72,000 have already been donated to Fraser.
