Class for living with knee arthritis held in Bloomington

Bloomington residents who struggle with knee arthritis are invited to a free class to help them improve their quality of life with an event at TRIA Physical Therapy in August.

The interactive class includes tips and exercise suggestions that organizers said can help people manage their knee arthritis. Whether it's sports like tennis, playing with family members or pets or just going on a simple walk, knee arthritis can prevent people from enjoying the things they normally love.

The in-person knee arthritis class will go over practical ways to manage symptoms, stay active and do simple exercises, with the ultimate goal of improving movement, mitigating pain symptoms and having a better understanding of the condition.

The event will not only include experts on the subject giving the instruction but others who similarly face knee arthritis pain. The agenda for the hour-long class includes “Understanding Knee Arthritis,” “Self-Management Strategies” and “Knee Arthritis Exercise.”

Reservations are free but tickets must be booked online to reserve a spot.

The host of the event is TRIA Physical Therapy, which works with patients on a broad range of physical rehabilitation needs, including recovering from injury or illness or strength training, according to its website.

Classes like this may choose to use brochure printing to create agendas or informational pamphlets for attendees.

The Living Well with Knee Arthritis Class is being held on August 15 at noon at TRIA Physical Therapy at the Bell Plaza, Second Floor, at 3800 American Boulevard West in Bloomington.
