Childrens book authors hold event in Bloomington

Bloomington’s Mall of America is hosting an event by children’s book authors Penn and Kim Holderness.

The Holdernesses, who have been married for 18 years, have spent the past decade as content creators on social media, creating music, comedy sketches and garnering millions of followers.

The couple, who also host a podcast, were also contestants on The Amazing Race for Season 33.

Coming from the world of TV news, the couple’s combined 25 years of experience in that field set the stage for their new careers as social media influencers and authors.

Their Books “All You Can Be with ADHD” and “ADHD Is Awesome” were New York Times bestsellers. Their newest work is called “Get It Done and Have Fun: ADHD Hacks for Awesome Kids,” featuring colorful illustrations and solutions-oriented tips for children and families.

As the heads of Holderness Family Productions, Penn and Kim also help companies around the world with their video production work.

The books come from the couple’s own experiences, as Penn is himself someone who has ADHD. Meanwhile, Kim has learned how to be supportive of her husband’s needs while maintaining her own self-care practices.

Book signings like this may choose to use poster printing to create low-cost promotional materials in the community.

The book event featuring Penn and Kim Holderness is happening on September 27 at 3 pm at the Huntington Bank Rotunda at the Mall of America at 2131 Lindau Ln in Bloomington.
