A unique event honoring hockey moms will be hosted at the Mall of America this November.
Aimed at shining a spotlight on mothers who do everything from driving their kids to the hockey rink late at night to tying their skates, the event is meant to celebrate the hard work of these heroic family members.
The main attraction is the Hockey Mom Face-Off, in which finalists will tell their stories about team spirit, hockey traditions, and other anecdotes. This all culminates in crowning one mother the 2026 Hockey Mom of the Year. Anyone interested in putting someone forward for this accolade can submit their nominations through midnight on Sunday, October 12.
A veritable variety show, complete with comedy and heartstring-pulling moments, is expected to be part of the proceedings, hosted by Vineeta Sawkar and Kristi Plante. In part, the event is to recognize mothers who make it possible for their children to engage in the winter sport as the true Chief Hockey Officers.
The family-friendly event welcomes people who bring a spirit of good sportsmanship, and audience members are encouraged to cheer loudly for their respective teams. Community events like this may choose to use Business Cards for organizers to stay in touch with vendors and clients.
