World-class ski jump competition comes to Bloomington

Bloomington will host Flyfest 2026, an international ski jump competition, this January.

The ski competition transforms Bush Lake into a veritable stadium illuminated by arena-caliber lighting. Top competitors in the sport from around the U.S. and Europe will soar up to 300 feet, competing for ski jump cash prizes, trophies and personal goals.

Live music, food vendors and beer will all be available during the event, which costs $20 to attend if paidnbefore January 1 and $25 thereafter. Children 12 and under get free admission. Tickets are available online.

A fire pit will be on site for people to socialize in between the high-flying rounds of skiing, of which there will be a test round and two competition rounds. Viewing areas include zones near the landing slope and other areas close up to the skiing action.

Parking is available for free at the 8500 Normandale Lake office Parking Ramp, with free shuttles to the ski jumps located one block away for those who cannot or would prefer not to walk to the venue.

Athletic events like this may choose to use brochure printing to create vendor pamphlets, parking maps, and schedules.

The Official FlyFest 2026 International Ski Jump Competition is happening on Saturday, January 24 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 8401 E Bush Lake in Bloomington.
