Rock fans have a great event to look forward to this summer, with four bands on the way.
Common Ground is bringing Blink 182, The Legal Immigrants, Grandson, and The Used to Lansing, where they will appear at Cooley Law School Stadium.
Blink 182 first got together in Poway, a San Diego suburb, in 1992. Their breakthrough came in 1999, when they released their third album, ‘Enema of the State’. Alternative Press magazine said Blink-182's blend of punk rock and pop music made the group a cornerstone in pop punk's development. To date, the band has sold more than 50 million albums throughout the world.
The Legal Immigrants are from Grand Rapids, and first got together in 2009. Guitarist and vocalist Joe Bockheim is also the group's main songwriter, and cites Led Zeppelin and the Beatles as two of the bands who most influenced him.
Grandson is the stage name of Jordan Edward Benjamin, who is a solo artist. He debuted his first album in 2018, and often writes and performs songs dealing with current issues in society.
The rock band The Used got together in Orem, Utah, in 2001. They have released seven studio albums, which have seen them go to gold or platinum status in many countries. Poster printing can provide edgy advertising for shows like this.
The show is scheduled for July 10, starting at 5.00 pm. Attendees are asked to bring photo ID.
