Lansing residents will soon be gathering at a local venue for an event that will fill the night with light and color.
The annual Night Lights Christmas Parade will soon be taking to the streets, starting at the Grand Ledge Fire Department. It will wind its way down Bridge Street to Scott Street, and if last year is any indication, it will boast dozens of entries.
Local individuals and families alike are invited to line the route to take in the spectacle, and Santa himself will make an appearance, riding on one of the city’s fire trucks. Kids can drop off their letters to him at the mailbox that will be set up, and everyone can warm up by the fire pit in the Plaza. The tree lighting is set for 6:30pm, and the parade will begin at 7:00 pm. Santa will remain on hand at the Grande Ledge Opera House afterwards to meet with the crowd.
Along with the rest of the fun, the event will feature the Grand Ledge Rotary Club Chili Cookoff. A company that prepares personalized Corporate Gifts can use graphic design techniques to craft customized awards to present to the winners of a special event.
The Lansing area will be kicking off this evening of holiday themed fun at 5:00 pm on December 5th. More information can be found on the event's online listing.
