An event in Lansing this August will see kids preparing their own sweet treats.
The Allen Marketplace facility will let the junior crowd take over during its Kids Dino Cookie Decorating session, which will be led by chef and baker Erin Witt. It is intended for kids and their parents or guardians to participate in the learning together, which is why the tickets are sold in pairs.
Participants will learn some basic cooking and baking skills by preparing sugar cookies, and everyone can customize their creation using the decorations provided. Everyone should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes are also required. Long hair will need to be tied back.
Parking is available at the venue and on the surrounding streets. The activity will run for two hours, and the ticket pairs are $60.54 each.
Cooking and baking can be valuable skills to have in later life, and a workshop can make them fun to learn. Recipe cards, chef hats, aprons, and other items for a culinary class can be ordered from Print shops that provide custom Graphic Design Services.
Lansing families interested in registering for this kid-friendly cookery session can sign up now, as it is scheduled for Saturday, August 18. It will begin at 6:00 pm at 1629 E Kalamazoo Street. Any dietary requirements or other questions can be sent to events@allenneighborhoodcenter.org.
