Lansing dance party brings disco back

Lansing is about to take a step back in time to the days of disco, and fans of the genre and those who just enjoy having a great time are invited to be part of the experience.

The Green Door, which is one of the city’s event spaces, will be celebrating the days of disco, and everyone can reach way into the back of their closet to dig out their leisure suit and hot hair rollers to join in the fun. It will be restricted to patrons age 18 and up.

Ticketholders for the dance party can wear a disco or Halloween costume, or they can choose to combine the two. A DJ will be spinning tunes from bands and artists such as ABBA, Donna Summer, The Bee Gees, and Cher, and the doors will open half an hour ahead of the show’s start time. General admission passes are $21.25.

Dance and other public parties are often high-energy affairs, and a poster printing company will be happy to prepare decor that helps to build the excitement. It can work closely with organizers, ensuring they have the materials they need without breaking the bank.

Gimme Gimme Disco will bring the fun to Lansing on Friday, October 30, with doors opening at 9:00 pm. The Green Door is located at 2005 E Michigan Avenue in Lansing, and tickets can be ordered through its website.
