Lansing club schedules train show

Model railway fans will soon be making tracks to a Lansing venue for an activity that will be the largest train show held in the state this year.

The annual Lansing Train Show and Sale will be rolling into the Michigan State University’s Farm Bureau Pavilion. Admission will be free for kids age 12 and under, as well as scouts in uniform, while adults will be asked to pay an admission fee of $8.

The function will provide an opportunity to browse through at least 500 vendor tables, and everything from tracks and cars to Books, DVDs, collectibles, and more will be for sale. There will be track layouts on display, and experts will share tips and advice. A variety of gauges will be included, and anyone interested in booking a sales table may be able to do so for $45.

The event has been organized by the Lansing Model Railroad Club, and the funds raised will support its activities, while also preserving the Michigan Avenue Tower and the historic Grand Trunk Western Millet Depot. A poster printing company may help generate public interest in an activity by preparing attention-grabbing marketing materials.

The Lansing Train Show and Sale will be on track for fun on Sunday, November 9. It will kick off at 10:00 am, and the contact phone number is (517) 290-8948.
