Once again, planning for Lansing’s annual signature Christmas event is underway.
Millions of lights make the Silver Bells in the City celebration something truly unique and beautiful. The display brings together friends and family from throughout the city, state, and entire region to mark the start of the holiday season.
Silver Bells in the City is presented by the City of Lansing, working with the Lansing Board of Water and Light. The job of coordinating the event is handled by a dedicated coordinating committee that follows the guidance of the Lansing Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority. The event draws more than 65,000 visitors each year and could not go forward without the help of many volunteers.
Details of the 2020 celebration are still being finalized, but the event traditionally includes an electric light parade, local vendors who set up displays in the Silver Bells Village, lighting the Christmas tree, and, of course, a visit from Santa. The downtown shops and stores are open and light displays – the heart of the evening – are everywhere.
Flyer printing can be used to showcase activities taking place during celebrations like this.
Silver Bells in the City in 2020 is scheduled for November 20. Anyone interested in the event is asked to check with organizers closer to the date, in case of scheduling changes.
