National Poetry Month is being celebrated by Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, with many events during the month of April open to the public at no charge.
Ongoing attractions during the month include a historic poetry display from the Archives and Regional History Collections at Zhang Legacy Collection Center, and poetry table games and poetry composing at each of the four libraries. Tables each have their own themes, so visitors can see what people have written or create their own poetry.
There will also be poster displays, one of which is that of international poets by international students at the University or poets from their home country. The other is a display of Posters in which University students use Posters to present their experience of studying abroad. These Posters may have required the use of local printing services to help the students express their ideas and get their messages across to viewers.
There will also be special activities coming up next week. On Tuesday April 14, Chance TrottmanâHuiet will present the poetry of tuba, and Spanish poetry readings will take place at the Waldo Learning Commons.
A closing reception, with readings by students of World Languages and Literature, will be held on Wednesday April 15. Following this, the poetry of piano by Michael Zutis, piano will be on Thursday April 16.Get a Free Quote for Posters
