The Michigan Parkinson Foundation will bring its Parkinson Hero Walk to Grand Blanc next weekend.
The event will offer families, supporters, and people affected by Parkinson’s disease a morning of community activities and fundraising.
Registration and check-in will begin before the formal program, giving participants time to visit sponsor tables, enjoy refreshments, and gather with their teams. At 10:00 AM, organizers will present remarks and recognize participants wearing Parkinson Hero wristbands. The walk begins at approximately 10:30 AM.
The primary route covers about one mile along a paved path on the health club grounds, with a longer course option also planned. The walk is untimed and participants are not required to complete the route. Guests may instead visit sponsor displays, a photo area, and children’s activities. Wagons, strollers, walkers, and dogs on leashes measuring six feet or shorter are permitted.
Adult registration costs $20 at the regular rate and increases to $25 on event day. Children aged 17 and younger can participate for free. Registration includes a participant shirt, exercise demonstration, wristband, and light snacks. Online registration closes on Thursday, October 1 at noon, while onsite signup remains available. Fees are nonrefundable.
Proceeds and donations support the Michigan Parkinson Foundation’s community programs and services. Health-related fundraising events often use poster printing to provide registration information and station location.
The Parkinson Hero Walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 3 from 9:00 AM to noon at Henry Ford Genesys Health Club, 801 Health Park Boulevard, Grand Blanc.
