Adult track meet returns for second year

A community-focused athletics event is set to return to Flint this summer.

The Adult Track Meet 2026 is being hosted by Run810 Running Club and presented by Charlie B. Enterprises. It was created to bring together individuals of varying experience levels.

Participants and spectators can expect a full schedule of events ranging from distance races to relays and field competitions. The day will begin with the first division of the 5,000-meter race at 10:00 AM. Field competitions, including shotput, long jump, discus, and high jump, are scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.

The primary program begins at noon. It will include the 100-meter dash, women’s and men’s hurdle races, 200-meter and 400-meter races, an 800-meter competition, walking and running divisions at 1,500 meters, a second 5,000-meter race section, and multiple relay formats, including mixed-gender teams. Residents from Grand Blanc and other neighboring cities are expected to attend this community-focused event.

Spectator admission is available for $15, with a total ticket cost of $17.85 after fees. Admission is required for guests age 13 and older, while kids 12 and under may attend at no cost. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate on event day.

Events of this kind frequently rely on poster printing and other promotional materials to inform residents and increase awareness.

The Adult Track Meet 2026 will take place on Saturday, August 8 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Carman-Ainsworth Middle School, 1409 Maple Ave, Flint, Michigan.
