Flint Elks Turkey Trot to open holiday season

The Flint Elks Golf Course will again host the annual Flint Elks Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk this November.

This seasonal tradition draws runners and walkers to Grand Blanc ahead of Thanksgiving. It offers a chip-timed race with live results, finisher medals, age-group awards, and free race photos.

Participants will receive an event shirt as part of registration. Awards will be presented to the top three men and women overall, along with first-place winners in each age category. Divisions range from 14 and under to 70 and older. The racecourse winds through the Flint Elks grounds, featuring paved sections and rolling hills that will highlight the late-fall scenery.

Registration for the 5K is $35, plus processing fees. Entrants may sign up online in advance. Packet pickup will be available on race morning beginning at 8:00 am inside the golf course facility. The 5K is set to begin at 10:00 am.

Organizers noted that the event welcomes athletes of all abilities, whether they are aiming for competitive times or enjoying a simple run or walk before the holiday. The race has become a local favorite, providing a festive kickoff to the season for both serious runners and families.

Flyer printing may be considered a straightforward way to promote community participation and expand local turnout for events such as this one.

The Flint Elks Turkey Trot takes place on Saturday, November 22 at Flint Elks Golf Course, 7177 E Maple Avenue, Grand Blanc.
